Themes and Textures for Directory Opus

These are background images and textures that I have assembled and/or created for use with Directory Opus.

Directory Opus is a file manager for Windows. Read my guide, Getting to know Directory Opus, for an introduction.

You can use them in other programs, too, if you like. Opus theme files are just zip archives with a special extension so you just need to rename them if you want to extract their images.

Not all images contained in theme files will be automatically configured when you import them into Opus. All the images will be extracted but you'll have to set some up by hand using the Opus Folder Options dialog.

If you use a tiled image for multiple elements (e.g. toolbars and status bar) you'll often get best results if you tell Opus to share the image as it will then line up across elements.

You can get neat effects by using different versions of the same image (e.g. one more washed out than the other) tiled and shared on different elements (e.g. toolbars and file display area).
